MidCity Real Estate CEO To Speak At June 22 Whitehall Meeting

Kirk Demetrops, president and founder of MidCity Real Estate Partners in Atlanta, has agreed to speak as part of the Whitehall Plantation information meeting on June 22.

MidCity is in the process of acquiring the Whitehall parcel at the east end of the Woods Memorial Bridge, and is said to be considering development of residential and commercial properties, a 100-room boutique hotel and a marsh-front park on the 19-acre property.

The company has made several visits to Beaufort for introductory meetings with city officials and others. Company spokesmen told the Coalition on June 7 that “ideas and plans for the property have not evolved past the very preliminary/conceptual stage.”

The June 22 information meeting will be held at the Carteret Street Methodist Church from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.  Others presenting at the meeting include the Sea Island Corridor Coalition, the Coastal Conservation League and City of Beaufort Planning Department representatives.
