MAPPING LADY’S ISLAND PLANNING SESSIONS SET

The meeting at Lady’s Island Elementary was the first step in a process designed to engage the community in future development plans for the island, and communicate the community’s voice to city and county elected officials and staff.

Due to the overflow crowd on Feb. 23, we were unable to do full justice to the public comment-gathering we had planned. To ensure we get as broad a perspective as possible, we have scheduled three, two-hour follow-up sessions for additional map work. We encourage you to register and attend.

These sessions will be held in the Conference Room at the Beaufort County Airport on Lady’s Island, and are scheduled for:

  • Thursday, March 16: 8-10 a.m.
  • Monday, March 20: 10 am-12 pm
  • Tuesday, March 21: 4-6 pm

We can accommodate up to 30 in each session, and if you wish to participate, we ask that you pre-register by clicking here. If interest outstrips facilities or our ability to effectively gather input, we will schedule additional sessions.

At the forum, 90% of those attending said they wanted to stay involved in this important effort, and we hope that carries over to these important work sessions. You are welcome to bring friends or neighbors, even if they were unable to attend on Feb. 23, but we would appreciate it if all participants pre-register separately.

Thank you again for your participation, and playing such an important role in the design of a livable, sustainable future for Lady’s Island!
