County Planning Commission To Hear Lady’s Island Plan Monday Night

The Beaufort County Planning Commission has been asked to adopt the Lady’s Island Plan 2018, and will review details of the plan at its meeting Monday night.

The meeting will be held at the Bluffton Branch Library, 120 Palmetto Way, Bluffton, SC, at 6 p.m. Click here for the agenda.

The Lady’s Island Plan 2018 has been in development for the past ten months, and is being reviewed by most relevant County and City of Beaufort bodies during January. If approved, an enlarged Lady’s Island Preservation Committee will be given responsibility for oversight of plan implementation in harness with County and City development departments.

The Plan is not a “one-stop” plan, but a framework to manage growth on Lady’s Island. Implementation will require additional decisions by both City and Council councils moving forward.
